Assistant Herdsman
We are looking for a member of staff to join the team. We are a Dairy Farm based in mid wales, milking cows twice a day in a rotary parlour and calving in August. Accommodation is available and wages are dependant on experience.
What are you going to do:
The lucky candidate will be expected to have an open mind and a willingness to learn. Experience would be helpful but not required. Day to day tasks would include milking cows, scraping, bedding and feeding. They will also be feeding calves. Their tasks will vary from day to day and might change dependant on the weather. At summer time we start at half six and finish around half six in the evening, with an hour for breakfast and an hour for lunch. At winter time we start at hald six and finish after 7pm.
