Vintage Film Camera Repair Assistant (Aged 16–17)
RetroCameraFix restores vintage 35mm film cameras. We’re hiring a young, detail-focused part-time assistant to help with cleaning, packaging, and light restoration—perfect for someone into film photography and keen to learn full camera repair.

Job Type: Part-Time (10–30 hours per week)
Pay: £7.55 per hour

About the Role
RetroCameraFix Ltd is a creative small business specialising in restoring and selling vintage 35mm film cameras. We’re looking for a young, detail-oriented and motivated part-time assistant to help with cleaning, packaging, and light restoration work.
This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about film photography, eager to work with their hands, and interested in eventually learning how to fully repair classic cameras.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with general workshop tasks and organisation
Over time, there is potential to:
- Learn camera disassembly and repair processes
- Grow into a full repair assistant or apprentice role
Who We’re Looking For
- Aged 16 or 17
- Genuinely interested in film photography or vintage tech
- Attention to detail
- Reliable, friendly, and willing to learn
- No experience necessary — full training provided
