Why Splendid?...
In the complex world we live in, absolute concepts are reassuring, which is why you don't have to look any further than our name, to identify our ethos. Splendid: adjective. 'Magnificent; very impressive.' Early 17th century: from Latin 'splendere,' meaning 'shine or be bright.'
And that's exactly what we look for in our staff. Enthusiasm, ability to engage with clientele, a great work ethic, attention to detail, energy, charisma and an unwillingness to compromise on standards. It may sound like we're asking for a lot, but, if we were after compromise, we'd have named ourselves 'Sufficient,' or 'Satisfactory.' True, it would keep explanations shorter, but it doesn't quite have the same ring to it, now does it?
What we do?...
So, less about you, more about us. Splendid provide event staff to the highest echelons of the UK (and global, no biggie!) event industry. From intimate private dinner parties in London's leafiest, most exclusive postcodes, to pop-up events in decommissioned power stations, to affluent Bar Mitzvahs overlooking the white sands of Monte Carlo's coastline, to staffing the Olympics in Rio, Splendid has been the go-to for events companies who want it done right, the world over.
We take a handful of raw talent (you), throw some training from seasoned campaigners into the mix and set you loose on the world of events to hone your skills through experience (they say there's no substitute for it!). You'll work on some incredible events, in venues where the public rarely set foot and rub-shoulders with A-listers and Royalty. Maybe even have a little fun whilst you're at it and make some friends.

What we're after...
Experience not required, what we're really looking for is hunger and a willingness to learn. We don't expect you to know the industry inside-out from the off, but if you're the kind of person who can work a marathon shift and then, with a smile, still go that extra mile then get in touch! We're looking for budding waiters/waitresses, bar staff along with hosts and hostesses!*
