GCP Data Engineer

Hybrid / London

£100,000 – £120,000

Our client, a global powerhouse in enterprise IT services, is looking for a talented GCP Data Engineer to join their cutting-edge Data & AI practice. You’ll play a pivotal role in architecting and delivering data-driven solutions on Google Cloud Platform, working on high-impact projects across multiple industries.

They’re keen to grow the team with experienced Engineers who have strong relationships currently within Google teams to grow this partnership.

As a GCP Data Engineer, you will:

• Design and implement modern data platforms on GCP

• Lead data initiatives from ingestion to transformation and visualization

• Collaborate with cloud architects, analysts, and engineers to deliver integrated solutions

• Apply expertise in BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, and other GCP-native services

• Use Python, PySpark, and SQL to build scalable data pipelines

• Drive data quality, governance, and performance tuning efforts across projects

Ideal candidates will have:

• Proven experience delivering data engineering solutions at scale on Google Cloud

• Proven experience with Agentic AI

• Hands-on knowledge of GCP services such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataform, and Composer

• Strong ETL/ELT experience and programming skills in Python and PySpark

• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker) and CI/CD practices

The Package:

• £100,000 – £120,000 base salary

• Annual bonus

• Pension scheme & private medical
