Job description

Our client is an exciting and growing European LNG Trading business situated in the heart of London.


Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an IT administrator to the team. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to grow and develop.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Employee Onboarding and Off-Boarding: Set up and deactivate user accounts, email access, and hardware provisioning in coordination with HR and department managers.
  • User Support: Provide first-level support for employees experiencing hardware, software, or access-related issues across various platforms.
  • IT Hardware Management: Assist in the acquisition, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of laptops, monitors, networking devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Software Distribution: Assist in the deployment and updating of software applications and operating system images across company devices using standard tools and processes.
  • Network Administration: Support basic network administration tasks such as monitoring network health, troubleshooting connectivity issues, managing user access, and assisting with configuration of routers, switches, and VPNs
  • License and Subscription Management: Track and manage software subscriptions and licenses to ensure compliance and cost-efficiency.
  • ETRM System Development Support: Assist the IT Administrator in the development and maintenance of the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system, collaborating with internal stakeholders and developers to enhance system functionality.
  • Automation of Tasks: Assist the IT Administrator in identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and help implement basic scripts or tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 2+ year of experience in an IT support or administration role
  • Demonstrated practical expertise in Microsoft operating systems and applications
  • Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., VBA, Python) is desirable
  • Knowledge of ETRM systems is an asset but not required
