Tech Lead – React / TypeScript / AWS


Location: Fully Remote (UK-based only)

Salary: £90,000 – £150,000 (DOE)

TCG are working with an exciting UK-based scale-up at the forefront of healthcare innovation. Backed by a strong mission to improve patient outcomes through cutting-edge technology, they’re now looking for a Tech Lead to help shape and scale their web application architecture as they enter their next phase of growth.


The Role

As Tech Lead, you'll play a hands-on leadership role in architecting and evolving the company’s core platform. This is a high-impact position, suited to someone with deep expertise in front-end technologies and cloud architecture, combined with the vision to build scalable, secure, and performant systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead the development of modern web applications using React and TypeScript
  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient systems on AWS
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
  • Mentor and guide a small team of engineers, fostering clean code practices and technical excellence
  • Influence technical strategy and roadmap decisions at a senior level
  • (Bonus) Contribute to the development of AI-powered features and tools


Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior or lead engineering role, ideally within a fast-paced scale-up or tech-forward company
  • Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Strong experience designing and deploying web applications on AWS
  • Excellent understanding of application architecture, API design, and cloud-native best practices
  • Comfortable working autonomously and making strategic technical decisions
  • Based in the UK and eligible to work without sponsorship


Bonus Skills

  • Experience building or integrating AI/ML applications
