CARMA is looking for an Sales Development Representative in London Area

Job description

Our continued expansion provides an exciting new opportunity to join our talented Commercial Team based in London. CARMA is a global leader in the media monitoring, analysis and research industry. Our solutions allow clients to demonstrate the effectiveness of their Communications programs and make well-informed decisions about their PR strategy.


The successful applicant will ideally have experience in the PR or data sector but that it not essential. A record of tele sales/appointment setting is required.


Sales role & responsibilities:

  • Research and prospect mid-market to enterprise sized organisations online, obtain keyperson Communications & PR stakeholder contact details in order to identify new leads in the UK, Europe and USA
  • Be responsible for an annual sales target for closing revenue attributed to mid-market and SME sized deals
  • Generate qualified leads and meetings for the Commercial Team
  • Secure and develop leads by collaborating with our Consultant/AE/BDM/AD staff in order to multi-thread through various key stakeholder potential client contacts to generate awareness for CARMA and provide added value
  • Accurately maintaining potential client data in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Contact potential clients via email, phone, social media outreach (LinkedIn) and via events to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Collaborate closely with our Marketing Team and PR agency to support the implementation of the marketing initiatives
  • Contact clients to inform them about new developments in the Company products and services
  • Direct prospects to the Business Development Managers and Consultants at CARMA once meetings, calls or a certain level of engagement has been acquired by the SDR
  • Collate data on prospects and convey that clearly to your colleagues


Reporting

  • Present accurate and timely reports and progress updates
  • Maintain records of leads, contacts, opportunities, proposals, and revenue


Product Knowledge

  • Fully understand the company’s platform, products and services
  • Understand how our platform and services benefit our PR & Communications clients


Qualifications

The Successful Applicant will have:

  • Tenacious and personable character who is not afraid of rejection from prospects
  • Excellent communication skills and great on the phone for cold calls
  • Creativity and a proactive mindset. Coming up with new ideas to gain traction with potential new clients
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage workload and prioritise
  • Great team player and collaborate with colleagues inside and beyond the Sales Team
  • Understanding of PR / Communications / Marketing is a bonus


Experience

Ideally a degree or equivalent, with a preferred 6 months to 1 year worth of work experience in Sales / meeting / call / appointment booking (lead generation).
