Talent Development Manager – Graduates, Apprentices & Future Leaders

Bristol / Exeter / Devon

£65,000 – £75,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits


Are you passionate about shaping the future workforce? Do you have a track record of designing and delivering impactful graduate and apprenticeship development programmes? We're looking for an experienced Talent Development Manager to lead the Early Careers and Future Talent agenda.


About the Role


This is a key role within the People team, responsible for shaping and delivering the early careers strategy that drives the attraction, development and retention of our emerging talent. You’ll lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of Graduates (c.25 per year) and Apprenticeship programmes (c.300–400 per year), ensuring they are aligned with business needs and offer an outstanding experience.


You’ll manage and coach two Learning Partners and collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to build future-ready capability across the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the Early Careers strategy across graduates, apprenticeships and work placements
  • Design and deliver structured, high-impact learning journeys for graduates and apprentices
  • Partner with business leaders, HR and external providers to ensure programmes are aligned with capability needs
  • Manage relationships with universities, training providers and apprenticeship bodies
  • Coach and develop a high-performing team of two Learning Partners
  • Monitor programme effectiveness through data, feedback and outcomes – driving continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with apprenticeship levy and funding requirements


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience designing and delivering graduate and apprentice development programmes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills – able to influence across all levels
  • Commercial acumen and strategic mindset, with the ability to align learning to business outcomes
  • Inspirational people manager with a coaching style
  • Experience managing apprenticeship levy processes and partnerships (desirable)
  • A passion for early careers and a drive to shape the talent of tomorrow
