An excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll Advisor has arisen onsite with one of our clients, a world leader within many key Engineering industries. This role is for permanent position in Warrington location.


What will you do in this position?

In this position you will be responsible for weekly payroll, set up and pay new starters and process leavers and termination payments.


Main Responsibilities

As a Payroll Advisor, you will be responsible for processing weekly payrolls from start to finish across multiple sites within designated timeframes. This includes handling pay in accordance with various National Agreements, setting up and paying new starters, processing leavers, and managing applicable termination payments.


You will calculate redundancy payments and administer statutory and occupational payments such as SMP, SPP, SSP, and sick pay. Effective communication with sites and other departments is essential to ensure deadlines are met and information flows smoothly.


You will produce reports for various departments, maintain accurate records and filing systems, and stay up to date with payroll and pension legislation. Additionally, you will follow and enforce established payroll policies, processes, and procedures, and liaise with third parties such as pension providers, HMRC, and courts to ensure compliance and accuracy.


Experience & Qualifications


  • Minimum of 2 years payroll experience in a multi site, multi contractual environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office including intermediate excel skills
  • Up to date knowledge of payroll and pension legislation and HMRC reporting requirements
  • Recognised CIPP payroll qualification would be desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with a background in fast -paced, high-volume roles.
