Mid to Senior Digital Designer

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office - Holborn, London)

Type: Full-time

Design breathtaking digital experiences for the UK’s leading travel magazine.

At Wanderlust, we don’t just tell stories, we show them. We’re on the hunt for a Web Designer who can bring our award-winning travel storytelling to life online with imagination, elegance, and editorial punch. Think: the boldness of a dynamic poster designer, translated into immersive, animated scrollable storytelling; the kind that wins awards.

What You’ll Do:

• Design stunning online articles and editorial experiences, creating layouts that are as compelling as the stories they support.
• Own the look and feel of web pages: from hero images to typographic finesse, ensuring every pixel aligns with Wanderlust’s visual identity.
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and the Creative Digital Director to shape beautiful, on-brand digital content.
• Inject flair into illustration, graphics, custom type and design assets that elevate storytelling.
• Apply your sharp eye for typography, layout, and composition across multiple digital formats.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience in digital editorial or web design, ideally in content-rich media.
• A designer’s instinct: you care deeply about typography, colour, composition, and storytelling.
• Strong portfolio of online real world work showing exceptional layout design, particularly for long-form, feature content.
• Appreciation for Wanderlust’s brand values and visual style, you understand our voice and want to express it through design.
• Confidence working with visual briefs, but also comfortable pushing creative boundaries when the story calls for it.
• Savvy enough to pick up new design tools quickly.
• Bonus points for experience with WordPress’s content management tools and Elementor WYSIWYG page designer, or at least enough curiosity, and savvy enough to pick them quickly.
