Business Development Manager – Scotland
Home-based / Hybrid | Company car or allowance
Our client, a leading global provider of trade credit insurance, is seeking a driven and credible Business Development Manager to join their team in Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a respected, relationship-led organisation that helps businesses trade with confidence and protect against the risk of non-payment.
The role offers a strong base salary with an impressive, uncapped OTE, plus a company car or allowance, alongside a comprehensive benefits package and flexible hybrid working.
The Role
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key partners across the finance, insurance, and professional services sectors.
- Generate and convert new business opportunities through introducers, brokers, accountants, and banks.
- Manage a personal pipeline from prospecting through to close, using a consultative, relationship-driven approach.
- Collaborate with internal teams to share market insight and ensure an excellent client experience.
- Build and nurture a strong regional network, including relationships with brokers and banking partners.
Candidate Profile
- Proven B2B field sales experience with strong commercial acumen.
- Ideally from a financial services or information-led background (though high-performing sales professionals from other sectors will be considered).
- A consultative, credible sales style with the ability to engage confidently with clients and introducers.
- Self-reliant, organised, and motivated, with the resilience to succeed in a target-driven environment.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
