Subject Specialist Tutors for UCAS in Cardiff

This job involves tutoring aspirational students in how to get into the top universities. We are looking for current undergraduates or postgraduates from top UK universities to join our bank of tutors, especially for our esteemed UCAS Programme in August/September. You may be also be asked to help out on an ad hoc basis in leading weekly societies or interview practice for the chosen subject at different points during the academic year as and when convenient.

What we offer:

For the successful applicants, it will be at a salary of £10 per hour for current undergraduates, and £15 per hour for graduates and qualified professionals. The number of hours will vary due to business needs at different peak times of the year, but during August, it is likely to be full time (35-40 hours) for most subjects, and part time for others. This can be discussed at application.

For the successful applicants for the UCAS Programme in August who live outside of the commutable distance (as determined by CSFC), catered accommodation in Cardiff will be provided.

What are you going to do

We are looking for a number of tutors in the following subject areas to support our students in their personal statement writing, admissions test preparation and interview practice, in order to help them in their applications to top UK universities.

  • Currently studying or have studied at a top university;
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate of a relevant degree, appropriate to an aforementioned subject choice;
  • A very good understanding of UCAS and UK HE applications;
  • Experience in working with students in the past, preferably as a careers or subject tutor or in a coaching role;
  • They will also be a confident communicator, have excellent editing skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
