Accountant

Bromyard, Herefordshire

£35,000 - £45,000

Permanent, full time in house.

We are an established rural accountancy practice looking for an experienced accountant who has experience of working in a UK practice.

This a varied and interesting role for the right candidate with a broad cross-section of work.

Role responsibilities

·        Preparation and finalisation of year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

·        Calculating income tax and corporation tax liabilities while advising clients appropriately.

·        Preparation and filing of corporation tax and personal tax returns.

·        Preparation and submission of VAT returns.

·        Giving general advice to clients.

Personal Requirements

·        AAT level 4/ACCA/ACA qualified.

·        Experience in a UK practice is essential.

·        Strong understanding of financial statements.

·        Tax experience desirable.

·        Proficiency in accounting and tax soft software e.g. Sage accounts production, iris/keytime.

.        Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients.
