Interim Head of Fund Finance

Private Markets | 12 Month Contract | London | January Start

An established private markets investment manager is seeking an Interim Head of Fund Finance to lead its fund finance function through a period of growth and transition.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership position overseeing fund-level financial management across multiple strategies, ideal for a seasoned finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-performing environments.

The Role

Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership, you will take ownership of all fund finance activity across the platform — leading a talented team and ensuring robust reporting, controls, and investor deliverables during a pivotal stage for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the fund finance team covering multiple private market funds.
• Oversee all fund accounting, valuations, and investor reporting processes.
• Review fund performance, liquidity, and capital activity in coordination with investment teams.
• Manage administrators, auditors, and key external service providers.
• Drive process improvement and strengthen financial governance.
• Provide strategic and technical fund finance leadership during a period of change.

The Individual

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in fund accounting or fund control within private equity, private credit, or real assets.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams.
• Comfortable operating in both strategic and hands-on capacity.
• Available to commence January 2026 (or shortly thereafter).
