Interim Service Charge Accountant (Contract)
Who we are
Grant Thornton’s Agile Talent Community is a network of contract professionals, giving you the opportunity to work with our clients alongside Grant Thornton teams on a project-by-project basis whilst being supported by our dedicated Agile Talent team.
Joining us in Public Services Advisory (PSA)
Public Services Advisory (PSA) is focused on providing our public, private and third sector clients involved in the creation of public infrastructure assets or the delivery of public services with the support, insight, knowledge and vision to enable them to unlock growth and deliver their strategic objectives, through the provision of:
- Advisory
- Insight-led Consulting (ILC)
- Analytics Platforms
Joining the Agile Talent Community as an Interim Service Charge Accountant you will have the freedom to work on projects that you choose, whether full or part-time within PSA and support our clients and internal teams on short to medium-term assignments.
Skills we are looking for
- Data Management: Ability to capture, extract, and structure data from multiple sources (invoices, ledgers, bank statements, etc.). Including automatic text parsing and transaction classification
- Reconciliation Expertise: Strong forensic reconciliation skills
- Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of accruals, prepayments, reserve fund calculations and service charge processes.
- Excel / Advanced Spreadsheets: For structured listings, summaries, and reporting.
- Accounting Systems: Familiarity with general ledgers and property management systems.
- Property/Real Estate Accounting: Understanding service charge budgets and residential portfolio processes.
