Salary: £26,000 - £31,000

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about accuracy in finance? We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a dynamic finance team and play a key role in managing supplier payments and maintaining smooth financial operations.

About the Role

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting the wider finance team with administrative and ledger tasks. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the purchase ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Process supplier invoices, match to purchase orders, and obtain necessary authorisations.
• Prepare and execute supplier payments within agreed timelines.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain accurate coding and documentation for all invoices.
• Assist with month-end processes and support finance colleagues during busy periods.
• Provide cover for team members during holidays and absences.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
• Competent in using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
