About the Role:
Join our global team dedicated to delivering high-quality technical publications and training solutions for the automotive industry. As an Automotive Training & eLearning Technical Author, you will create engaging, accurate, and visually compelling content that supports service and systems evaluation worldwide.
What You’ll Do:
- Gather and analyse technical information on new vehicles and systems by establishing and liaising with key contacts in the business.
- Develop and author technical eLearning modules for a client's Learning Management System (LMS).
- Create and edit technical videos for internal and external audiences.
- Create animations for eLearning, and provide voice over for your media creations.
- Produce trainer guides, syllabi, and assessments for new training programs.
- Deliver ‘Train the Trainer’ sessions for completed programs.
- Liaise with technical training teams to ensure objectives are met and content is quality-checked.
- Track progress and report to stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong technical knowledge and/or hands-on experience within the automotive service and repair industry is essential.
- Proven experience in technical authoring, illustration and animation, or experience in writing and delivering similar textual and graphical-based documentation of a technical nature.
- Experience with eLearning and video media creation.
- Experienced in creating voiceovers for eLearning and videos, blending narration with background audio and embedding into media.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong IT skills; familiarity with CAD, Cortona3D, SCORM, Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Audition, and Illustrator etc.
- Knowledge of Simplified Technical English (STE) is an advantage.
