Repairs Surveyor

Assets Team

North West

£375 per day (Umbrella)

The Role

You will join a forward thinking social housing provider and take ownership of repairs and minor works across a varied housing stock. The organisation wants someone who takes pride in delivering a first class service so that residents receive safe, warm and well maintained homes.

As a Repairs Surveyor you will carry out inspections, diagnose defects, produce schedules of work, manage contractor performance and make sure repairs are completed to the right standard. This role sits within the Assets Team and plays a key part in providing an efficient and customer focused repairs service.

What You Will Do

• Complete pre inspections, post inspections and technical quality checks

• Diagnose building defects and specify the right remedial works

• Manage day to day contractor performance and certify completed repairs

• Prepare schedules of work, variations and technical reports

• Work with Resident Liaison Officers to maintain a smooth resident journey

• Monitor cost control and support value for money across the programme

• Use mobile technology and asset management systems to update records on site

• Liaise with internal teams, external contractors and wider stakeholders

• Ensure all works meet compliance standards including health and safety

• Support continuous improvement across repairs and asset management

What You Bring

• Strong background in domestic property surveying within social housing

• Knowledge of repairs, building pathology and quality control

• Ability to manage contractors and oversee works from inspection to completion

• Experience producing schedules, reports and valuations

• Confident using mobile working technology and Microsoft applications

• Excellent communication skills and a customer focused mindset

• Ability to work under pressure, manage your own workload and make sound decisions

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the patch

• A proactive, solution driven approach with a focus on operational excellence
