Job Title: Tenant Liaison Officer

Location: HD6 (West Yorkshire)

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: £17.00 – £18.50 per hour

Contract Length: Minimum several months

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tenant Liaison Officer to support a busy social housing refurbishment framework in the HD6 3LQ area. The project involves kitchen and bathroom upgrades within occupied (tenanted) properties, so excellent communication skills, empathy, and organisation are essential.

You will act as the main point of contact between tenants, site teams, and the contractor, ensuring works run smoothly and tenants are well-informed throughout the refurbishment process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, ensuring they understand the scope and schedule of works
  • Arrange appointments, access, surveys, and follow-up visits
  • Handle tenant queries, complaints, and concerns professionally
  • Provide regular updates to site management and administrative teams
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately
  • Support vulnerable tenants and help minimise disruption during kitchen and bathroom works
  • Maintain high standards of customer care and communication throughout the project
  • Ensure all works comply with health & safety requirements

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Tenant Liaison Officer or Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) — ideally within social housing
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to work with vulnerable residents in occupied properties
  • Good organisational and record-keeping abilities
  • Valid CSCS card (essential)
  • Ability to start immediately
