We are partnering with a rapidly growing technology company at the forefront of advanced filtration and sustainable extraction solutions. Their innovations are transforming industries such as lithium extraction, water treatment, green hydrogen production, and food & beverage processing. As part of their expansion, they are seeking a talented Analytical Chemist – ICP Specialist to join their Technology Centre.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP-OES) instruments, performing elemental analyses on diverse sample types. The role includes generating high-quality data, supporting research and development, and ensuring quality assurance standards for a growing customer portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate ICP instruments in line with standard operating procedures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Prepare, digest, dilute, and filter samples for ICP and ancillary analyses (e.g., TSS, TOC, FTIR, UV-VIS spectroscopy, ceramic material analysis).
  • Generate calibration standards, perform routine standardisation, and maintain meticulous records of all analyses.
  • Analyse and interpret data, troubleshoot instrument or method issues, and formally report results.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to develop and optimise analytical methods.
  • Conduct routine instrument maintenance and coordinate with service technicians when required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Support cross-functional teams, train personnel, and liaise with external laboratories as necessary.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field, or 2–5 years of hands-on ICP experience.
  • Practical experience with ICP instrumentation from multiple OEMs.
  • Knowledge of best practices in sample preparation, archiving, and data analysis tools.
  • Awareness of Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety systems (ISO, HSE, EA, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement skills.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer-focused approach.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and willing to contribute to tasks beyond the core role.
