Head of Data and Technology

Up to £75,000 per annum

Hybrid – 2 days per week in King’s Cross, London

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic consultancy, is seeking a Head of Data and Technology to lead their growing data function. This senior leadership role oversees a team of 5–7 data professionals and plays a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s data strategy, technology roadmap, and client delivery.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in data engineering, architecture, and cloud technologies and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-client consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 5–7 data professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Oversee design and implementation of scalable data platforms, pipelines, and CRM integrations.
• Ensure high standards in data architecture, including models, warehouse schemas, and metadata frameworks.
• Act as a trusted client advisor, translating complex business requirements into technology solutions.
• Support business growth through proposals, pitches, and client engagement.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Technology Leadership.
• Track record in an agency or boutique consultancy.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT workflows, cloud platforms, and CRM systems.
• Strong technical proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud environments (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP also acceptable).
• Experience leading and mentoring teams of 5–7 professionals.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
