Freelance Quality Inspector (QI) - UK Offshore Wind (Q1 2026 Start)

Optimised Project Partners (OPP)

Optimised Project Partners is building a high-quality inspection resource pool for a series of UK offshore wind campaigns beginning Q1 2026. We are seeking experienced Quality Inspectors who bring technical expertise, documentation discipline, and a strong commitment to delivery standards across fabrication, installation, and offshore operations.

Quality is a core pillar of OPP’s philosophy — this role is central to ensuring projects are executed correctly, safely, and in full compliance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections for fabrication, secondary steel, WTG components, cable systems, or offshore installation activities

• Review ITPs, verify compliance, and ensure documentation accuracy

• Raise and manage NCRs, punch lists, and close-out records

• Prepare structured, clear inspection reports aligned with OPP’s standards

• Coordinate with site teams, PMs, OEMs, and contractors

• Ensure all works comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements

• Contribute to continuous improvement and proactive quality culture

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Offshore wind QI experience (yard, fabrication, WTG, foundations, cables, offshore installation)

• Strong understanding of inspection techniques and quality documentation

• Recognised industry certifications or trade background preferred

• Excellent reporting discipline and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently within a structured framework

• Clear communicator with a proactive mindset
