Group Management Accountant | PE-Backed Recruitment Group

Central London (4 days in office, 1 from home)

Full-time | Permanent | Start: Q1 2026

I’m currently supporting a backed recruitment group as they continue to expand across multiple specialist brands — and they’re looking to hire a Management Accountant to strengthen their finance function and provide commercial support across the group.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to step up from a management accountant role and work closer to the numbers that drive strategic decisions.

The Role

You’ll be joining a high-performing, fast-paced finance team reporting into an experienced Group Financial Controller. The role sits at group level, supporting the holding company while partnering with MDs across several brands.

It’s a genuinely hands-on position, giving exposure to everything from day-to-day management accounting through to board reporting and audit preparation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and board packs to tight deadlines (day 6 close, board packs by day 12).
• Supporting group consolidation, audit readiness and budgeting cycles.
• Liaising with MDs across brands — providing insight, challenge, and financial support.
• Managing intercompany reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
• Supporting system improvements and automation (Xero + Bullhorn CRM).
• Rolling your sleeves up across banking, invoicing and process improvement when needed.

What They’re Looking For

• Qualified, accountant from practice with industry experience.
• Confident, commercially minded, and able to hold your own in conversations with MDs and senior stakeholders..
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Solid systems experience (Xero ideal) and advanced Excel skills.

• 4–5 days per week in the Central London office
• 9am–6pm core hours
• Ideally starting Q1 2026, but possibility to start sooner
