A market-leading digital consumer brand is seeking a Lead Counsel to head up its commercial legal function in London. This is a rare senior role within a high-growth, data-driven platform that dominates its category and invests heavily in technology, personalisation and innovation.

What the role offers:

• A senior position within a lean, impactful and forward-thinking legal team
• Strong operational and Legal Ops support, with a focus on smarter, more efficient ways of working
• Reporting line into the Director of Legal (GC)
• Ownership of all commercial and IP matters across the business
• Key stakeholder relationships spanning the UK and Europe
• A central role in shaping the business’s evolving legal strategy
• The opportunity to manage and develop lawyers within the team
• Influence over product, brand and commercial decision-making in a high-scale, financially strong environment

What we’re looking for:

• UK-qualified lawyer with 8+ years’ PQE
• Strong expertise in intellectual property (commercial IP)
• Expert commercial contracting experience (Tech, SaaS, Supply, Marketing, Advertising)
• A modern, tech-aware approach to legal operations
• Management experience desired
• Pragmatic, commercially minded problem-solver
• Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative mindset
