Finance Controller – Manufacturing

Location: Leicestershire

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 DOE

We’re looking for a commercially minded and hands-on finance professional to act as a senior finance leader within a UK engineering business. You’ll take full financial responsibility for one of their manufacturing divisions while also supporting with UK-wide consolidation, reporting, and process improvement.

As a key member of the senior finance team, you’ll partner with operations, supply chain, and commercial colleagues to drive performance, control costs, and support strategic decision-making. You’ll provide accurate and insightful management reporting, identify trends, and play a pivotal role in shaping the division’s financial future.

What you’ll do:

• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for your division.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to monitor and improve cost performance.
• Support group consolidation and US GAAP reporting to our American parent company.
• Drive process improvement and enhance financial systems and reporting accuracy.

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
• Strong manufacturing background with experience in standard costing, inventory, and KPI analysis.
• Commercially focused mindset with the confidence to challenge and influence.
• Collaborative leader ready to grow into a future Finance Director role.
