We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented team leader to join the Antibody and Biochemical Assay within the Validation team.

The Team plays a key role in the validation of new products before they are delivered to our customers.

In this role, reporting directly to the Director of Validation, you will lead and mentor a team of scientists which actively contribute to the high-quality validation of new antibodies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a talented team of scientists providing technical guidance, training and performance feedback
  • Ensuring high quality validation of new antibodies
  • Contribute to troubleshooting technical issues and implement solutions to optimize assay performance and efficiency
  • Assist in the development and validation of new immunoassays methods
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards, including ISO9001
  • Communicate clearly with project managers and interacting project’s stakeholders across different functions, providing delivery dates, updates, and the necessary documentation
  • Assist in the preparation and management of team budgets
  • Contribute to resource allocation decisions within the team

Essential Requirements

  • PhD degree in Life Sciences (or can demonstrate an equivalent level of expertise) with at least 5 years of laboratory experience.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams, preferable in industry setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent technical skills and strong understanding of scientific principles.
  • Theoretical and practical expertise in immunoassays particularly Western Blot, ELISA, Immunoprecipitation with knowledge/experience in Mass Spectrometry being an advantage.
  • Proven ability to prioritise, work across several projects, and to deadlines.

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of CRISPR/ CAS9 technology to generate modified cell lines.
  • Experience with lab automation (e.g. Liquid handling robots, automated plate readers).
