Teaching Assistant (Early Years - Reception)

Grade: : Grade 2 point 8

Salary: £27,615 (FTE); £21,515.09 (actual pro-rata)

Work pattern: 32.5 hours per week (8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only); 30 mins unpaid lunch break

Contract Type: Permanent

Closing date: Friday 12th December 2025 at 12pm

We are looking for enthusiastic, committed individuals to become part of our high-performing and dynamic team. The role will be based in our Reception class.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting the class to help children make progress
  • Assisting children with additional needs within the classroom
  • Working closely with the class teacher and year group team to secure the very best outcomes for all children - academically, socially, and beyond the curriculum
  • Leading group interventions, including Read Write Inc. For our younger pupils
  • Covering a daily 30-minute lunch duty

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • A positive, enthusiastic approach
  • A commitment to working as part of a team
  • A good level of spoken and written English
  • A dedication to upholding and supporting our Pinner Wood Values

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children or for a graduate seeking experience before pursuing teacher training.
