Group Financial Controller | Sustainability | East of Scotland
Meraki Talent are supporting with the appointment of a permanent Group Financial Controller based in the East of Scotland with hybrid working paying £100,000 - £110,000 plus good bonus & benefits.

The Role
The role of Group Financial Controller will take full responsibility for BAU & operational finance requiring an individual comfortable in adopting a hands-on approach to enhance processes, procedures, controls & systems to ensure they are fit for purpose for the massive scaling journey ahead - the hand-on nature will turn to oversight as the business & finance function grow in tandem. It will also work closely the CFO, and Head of Commercial Finance to aid decision making, direction and strategy - it's imperative the new Group Financial Controller is capable of interacting & influencing senior stakeholders both internally & externally.
The Key components of the role will include:
- Hiring, training and developing of the finance function
- Group accounting & financial reporting
- Process & continuous improvement including systems
- Taxation & Audit
- Group financial planning, analysis and business development
- Aiding CFO, Head of Commercial Finance, SLT & Board with decision making, direction and strategy

What You'll Bring
We are keen to engage with qualified Accountants (ESSENTIAL) that can demonstrate:
- Strong group accounting experience, ideally coupled with a hands-on approach
- Growth & scaling journey of a business & finance function is highly advantageous
- CAPEX rich environments is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
