Financial Controller – 6-Month Contract | London | Office-Based

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within an independent travel management company in London, who are seeking a Financial Controller to join their team on a 6-month contract.

Financial Controller Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily cash flow, financial operations, and monthly reporting.
  • Prepare P&L statements, annual accounts, budgets, and quarterly forecasts.
  • Manage payroll, supplier payments, and ensure financial compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with auditors and banking partners.
  • Produce management reports and undertake cost, productivity, and business analysis.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, traders, and service partners.
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR enquiries.
  • Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and support recruitment processes.
  • Maintain and update internal policies and lead the annual salary review cycle.
  • Supervise, coach, and support the Accounts Assistant.
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to team development.


What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, ideally within travel or hospitality.
  • Experience managing and developing a small team.
  • Proficiency with systems such as Sage, Dolphin/ProTas, and MS Office.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with complete discretion.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management capabilities.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.


Financial Controller additional info:

  • 6-month contract with potential to convert to permanent.
  • Competitive salary plus annual bonus based on company performance.
