IC Construction supervisor

Hinkley Point C, Somerset

Contract £90,000 per annum

Overall Target of the Position

- Ensure effective execution of electrical and I&C erection and turnover to commissioning
- Optimize the use of allocated resources
- Effective management of the subcontractors on all aspects of site electrical and I&C erection.

Job Assignments, Measurements & Sphere of Influence

- Execution of the discipline works erection strategy as defined by the Overall Construction Manager.
- Creation of a detailed plan and sub schedule to ensure all works within the discipline are completed in accordance with the overall schedule
- Preparation and pre checks to ensure all materials are available and all required tools and equipment are available
- Liaise with Engineering on all engineering documentation required for site erection of the discipline work
- Ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and adherence to the Site Quality Assurance Programme by the subcontractors of the discipline work
- The management of the subcontractors appointed to install the works within the discipline to ensure that the works are completed on time and within budget

Education & Trainings
Mandatory

- University degree in electrical engineering discipline (comparable with bachelor/master)
- 5 years' experience in an electrical and I&C erection and turnover to commissioning management function
- Appropriate formal internal training in power plant construction and engineering
- Appropriate training in leadership and management.
- Experience of full cycle of power plant construction projects
- Experience in site construction execution and managing of subcontractors
- General knowledge of power plant systems
- Thorough knowledge within the discipline
- Commercial awareness.
