Quantity Surveyor in Lancashire

Job description

We are expanding our team in the UK within our Glovers company, which is part of the DG Jones & Partners group, and we are seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors to support a growing portfolio of exciting UK and international projects.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cost planning, contract administration, and commercial support across a variety of pre- and post-contract assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying work on JCT and NEC projects.
• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, tender documents, and commercial reports.
• Conduct valuations, variations, and cost analysis.
• Provide commercial support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate financial control.
• Support project delivery while maintaining high professional and quality standards.
• Contribute to project planning, cost forecasting, and contractual compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QS roles within the UK.
• Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts (pre- and post-contract).
• Experience across a variety of construction projects.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
