The Team

This role will report to the Health and Safety Manager as part of the wider Real Estate team covering EMEAPAC. The role will be based in NRF’s London HQ, with appropriate travel as needed.

The Role

This role will report directly to the Health and Safety Manager for EMEAPAC and be responsible for assisting in the compilation and implementation of a comprehensive EMEAPAC regional health and safety strategy for the effective management of enterprise level risk across the EMEAPAC region.

The role will also work closely with NRF’s partner organisations, suppliers, joint ventures, supply chain and NRFs Chief Legal Officer for the EMEAPAC region, leveraging existing operational risk and H and S policies, processes and documentation and partnering with others to ensure a comprehensive and integrated risk strategy.

A key focus of this role will be stakeholder management, with demonstrable ability in consulting and influencing skills along with the ability to help define and implement a transformative H and S strategy, support the ongoing refinement of robust H and S policies/ guidelines and assist in building a H and S management framework across EMEAPAC.

Key Responsibilities

Health and Safety

  • Work as part of a team to implement appropriate system of enterprise-wide H and S standards/protocols and audit processes.
  • Review policies and procedures for contractor management and control, create and implement new ones where they don’t exist or are suboptimal
  • Help improve and develop a training program for first aiders, fire marshals, both directly employed and outsourced, to ensure consistently high standards of H and S awareness, stakeholder engagement and organisational resilience.
  • Undertake H and S investigations as appropriate
  • Working with the Health and Safety Manager develop EMEAPAC policies and standards for H and S as appropriate.
  • Develop event H and S policies to ensure safety of event space and participants, brand reputation and smooth running of client and partner interaction.
  • Work with Health and Safety Manager to establish technology capability to drive H and S best practice.

Incident/Crisis Management/BCP

  • Work with Health and Safety Manager to ensure all Incident/Crisis Management and BCP initiatives are H and S compliant and have staff welfare at their heart.

Operational Risk Management

  • Work with the Health and Safety Manager to further refine our enterprise risk management framework, identifying key risks with the potential to impact operations, brand, reputation and finance.
  • Help to develop comprehensive risk review mechanisms, reporting procedures and audit capability.

Key Skills And Experience

  • Between 5-10 years as a professional Health and Safety Manager with knowledge and expertise in the area of operations, health and safety, operational risk management.
  • Experienced at stakeholder management with good communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience of contract management, budget discipline and resource mapping.
  • Highly organized and skilled in managing the multiple moving parts of a fast-moving operations
