Job description

We are recruiting a Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Coordinator to support the Assessment & Progression Team, within the School of Medical Sciences.

You will be expected to provide senior support in overseeing and coordinating all administration relating to assessment and progression including (but not limited to): quality assurance processes, assessment procedures (online exams, on campus exams, continuous assessment, dissertation, projects), alternative assessment requirements for DASS related adjustments, processing mitigating circumstances outcomes, publishing of student results, marking processes, producing exam grids and processing exam board decisions.

The post-holder will:

  • work collaboratively with a variety of colleagues ensuring seamless operations and a student-centered approach.
  • provide day-to-day line management and motivation for teams.
  • support senior colleagues in delivering strategic and operational priorities, promoting continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • act as a key point of contact for the provision of information, advice, and guidance on teaching and learning policies and practices.
  • work flexibly across the wider team, contributing to cross-departmental initiatives.
  • promote diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
  • develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • represent the team on committees and working groups, actively contributing to communities of practice and implementing best practices.
