About the role


We are partnering with a leading UK financial services organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner within its Commercial Finance function. This role offers the opportunity to support business strategy and decision-making by working closely with senior leadership.

The business has recently received private equity investment and is now entering its next stage of growth, undergoing a major digital transformation project.

The Finance Business Partner will provide financial planning, analysis, and commercial support across a dynamic business line, playing a key role in shaping both strategic and operational decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with stakeholders to understand business drivers and opportunities.
  • Provide forward-looking financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Balance commercial, client, and organisational considerations in recommendations.
  • Contribute to budget, forecast, and multi-year planning processes.
  • Analyse revenue, costs, and performance drivers to inform decisions.
  • Support pricing, investment, and operating model decisions.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market reviews to inform strategy.
  • Identify initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Work with teams to produce actionable financial and operational insights.
  • Ensure reporting is clear, timely, and decision focused.
  • Support robust financial controls and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks.


Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capability.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insight.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders in a commercial context.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to link numbers to strategy.
  • Organised, adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Hybrid working (approx. 3 days in-office) and flexible arrangements considered.
