Leveraged Finance Associate (NQ) – Elite US Platform – Central London

Our client, a prestigious US law firm with one of London’s fastest-growing finance practices, is seeking a newly qualified Leveraged Finance Associate to join its expanding team.

This is a standout opportunity to work on headline borrower-side transactions for leading global sponsors, advising on market-defining M&A financings, bolt-on acquisitions and major refinancings.

The Role

You will work on a broad range of complex and high-impact borrower-side financing matters, including:

• Sponsor-backed M&A financings and leveraged buyouts
• Bolt-on acquisition financings
• Refinancings, amend-and-extends and related liability management
• Structuring, drafting and negotiation of senior, unitranche and other leveraged facilities
• Cross-border elements in coordination with US and European colleagues

Associates are given substantial autonomy from the outset, taking ownership of drafting, negotiation and client communication on fast-paced and strategically important transactions.

What They’re Looking For

• England & Wales qualified, ideally Sept 2025 or March 2026
• Strong academic record and excellent performance during training contract
• Demonstrable leveraged finance experience (bank or sponsor-side exposure)
• Background from a Magic Circle or US firm preferred
• Strong technical ability, commercial judgement and enthusiasm for borrower-side work
• Team-oriented mindset and appetite to grow within a rapidly developing platform
