Preparing for Adulthood
The Disabled Children’s Service is an engaging and dynamic Service which is currently undergoing a transformation focused on improving the outcomes for disabled children in Redbridge.
As part of the transformation focussing on preparing children for adulthood, formerly known as transitions, we are seeking a passionate, experienced Principal Family Support Worker to join our Early Help/Short Breaks Team to deliver on this theme.
As a Principal Family Support Worker, you will play a vital role in advocating for and empowering families during a vulnerable time of change. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing training transfer, ensuring all staff within the Disabled Children Service and beyond understand their duties in relation to helping children prepare for adulthood. You will be adept at navigating education, health and social care systems. You will be passionate about championing the needs of our children and ensuring they receive the right support when they transfer, your input will have a lasting impact on the lives of children and families at the cusp of adulthood.
