Houghton Country - Retail Back Office Administrator/ Equestrian

Join our growing Equestrian retail business as a Retail Back Office Administrator.

We are one of the largest equestrian retailers in the country, operating in-store and online and have the largest retail show unit, attending all the UK's major equestrian events, which many of our team attend.

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to support daily stock and office administration, with opportunities to get involved in shop floor sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Upload and manage product data on the EPoS system.
• Excellent telephone manner.
• Assist with in-store customer service during busy periods.
• Process sales and manage stock deliveries, admin.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and liaise with suppliers/accounts.
• Process and manage faulty returns credits with suppliers.
• Support online department operations.

Essential Skills:

• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Good Equestrian knowledge
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Self-motivated, team player with a proactive attitude.
• Comfortable with basic IT and admin tasks.

Desired:

• Retail or fashion sales experience.
• Good office skills.
• Familiarity with EPoS systems and customer service excellence.
• Good Equestrian Knowledge.
• Past retail experience but not essential.
