Job DescriptionThis vacancy is open to all Civil Service employees and employees of accredited non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs) who were appointed on merit following a fair and open competition; or were appointed to a permanent post through an exception in the Civil Service Commissioners' rules.
We are currently looking for a Data Integrity Advisor to join our Authorisation Lifecycle Function within the Healthcare Quality and Access group.
This is a full-time opportunity, on a permanent basis. The role will be based in 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf London, E14 4PU. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas.
Government departments and agencies are working towards implementing a minimum 60% attendance in office sites.
We are currently implementing a flexible, hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 8 days per month working on site to enable the collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business. Attendance on site is driven by business needs so depending on the nature of the role, this can flex up to 12 days a month, with the remainder of time worked either remotely or in the office. Some roles will need to be on site more regularly.

The objective of the Healthcare Quality and Access portfolio is to drive quality and critically appraise benefits and risks to inform robust decisions on healthcare access including accelerated access pathways. It will do this by bringing together a fusion of our capabilities across both medicines and medical devices to enable licensing and market access, as well as ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
The Authorisation Lifecycle function will realise efficiencies by centralising and automating high volume low complexity tasks. This function will become the enabling engine room, central to delivery of the frontline HQA portfolio.
What’s the role?
Support the Head of Performance and Delivery Manager in ensuring the team is trained and kept up to date in the Agency’s registration system and processes for scrutiny of Device Registration (DR) data. This includes supporting business processes utilizing relevant medical device regulatory expertise and resource from across the Agency to ensure a consistent agreed level of data assurance and integrity in compliance with the developing UK regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Train the team to carry out enhanced data validation checks and to support and coordinate data scrutiny checks from across the Devices function.
- Continuously improve the performance and processes within the team in conjunction with the Delivery Manager and Head of Performance by seeking, reviewing, and implementing methods to improve quality and efficiency while reducing costs where possible.
- Ensure work processes are established to coordinate data validation checks according to business targets and agreed priorities.
- Work with senior managers to develop procedures and practices for the team, being the central point of contact for all Medical Device Registration enquiries coming into the Agency.

Role
Certain roles within the MHRA will require post holders to have vaccinations, and in some circumstances, routine health surveillance. These roles include:

- Roles required to travel overseas where specific vaccination may be required.
