Trainee Will Writer

Will's Talent is looking for an Trainee Will Writer in Banbury

Job description

Trainee Will Writer | Banbury | £25,000 - £27,000 + Bonus

What if the conversations you already enjoy having… could become the start of a meaningful career?

Most people don’t wake up one morning and decide, “I’m going to work in wills and estate planning.”

But they do wake up wanting a role that feels purposeful. Something people-focused. Something that opens a door into the world of professional services without needing years of experience first.

If that sounds even slightly familiar, keep reading.

This is a trainee role for someone who loves talking to people!

Because that’s what great will writers do - they listen. They ask the right questions. They help families feel comfortable discussing things that really matter. And they turn complicated ideas into clear, reassuring conversations.

You don’t need legal training. You don’t need financial qualifications.

You do need warmth, curiosity and the confidence to speak with people from all walks of life. Having worked in a role that requires you to be on the phone will massively help.

Alongside that, you’ll receive structured training, coaching and support to grow into a fully qualified professional - with the kind of career stability and respect that comes with it.

What you’ll be doing

  • Speaking with clients to understand their wishes and family situations
  • Gathering the information needed to draft wills
  • Guiding people gently through decisions that can feel overwhelming
  • Learning the legal and ethical framework behind will writing
  • Building long-term relationships based on trust
  • Suggesting further conversations about income protection

What you’ll get

  • A clear, supported path into a respected profession
  • Training from experienced specialists in house
  • The salary range is £25,000 - £27,000 with on target earnings getting close to £40,000

You will need to be based in the Banbury office (to receive the best possible training) and will do 3 later shifts each week (11am - 8pm).

If you’d like to explore this, let’s just have a conversation.

Apply with whatever CV you have - or simply get in touch for an informal chat. Everyone will receive a response.
