LET’S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT

Our Security and Resilience team has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Resilience Specialist to help strengthen Severn Trent’s preparedness and response capabilities.

In this role, you’ll support the delivery of our “Being Prepared” programme and Security Policy, ensuring robust business continuity, emergency planning, and incident management across all departments. You’ll also assist in training and upskilling colleagues, engage with Local Resilience Forums, regulators, and responder agencies, and collaborate with Water UK and other water companies to promote sector resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Severn Trent’s resilience strategy and emergency plans.
  • Support incident managers during company incidents and participate in the standby rota.
  • Deliver exercising and testing programmes and complete post-incident reviews.
  • Represent Severn Trent at Local Resilience Forums and discharge obligations under the Civil Contingencies Act.

WHAT WE'ER LOOKING FOR

  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to interpret threat and risk intelligence, regulatory documents, and resilience guidance.
  • Excellent written skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
