Job description

Transport Administrator – near Coatbridge - Maternity Cover


Role Purpose:

To provide administrative support to the transport department on a maternity cover basis, ensuring the smooth coordination of trucks and other forms of transportation in and out of a busy site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and organise vehicles and other transportation in and out of the site
  • Maintain accurate transport and vehicle records (logs, mileage, maintenance)
  • Prepare and process delivery notes, manifests, and transport documents
  • Monitor fleet compliance and maintenance
  • Update internal systems with transport data and job statuses
  • Support with reporting and other general administrative tasks

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Good communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office / transport software preferred)
  • Experience using CYMAN system would be ideal BUT not essential
  • Experience in transport, logistics, or a similar admin role is an advantage

Rotating Shift Patterns:

  • 4 days on/4 days off - 0600to1800 /1800 to 0600
