Mental Health Adviser

University of Portsmouth is looking for an Mental Health Adviser in Portsmouth

Job description

To work as a member of the University of Portsmouth multidisciplinary Student Wellbeing team to provide support to students who are experiencing, or who have a history of, personal, emotional and mental health challenges.


To contribute to a positive learning and university experience for students; delivering innovative approaches to enable personal, emotional and mental wellbeing, including individual and group programmes.


Engagement with internal and external partners to promote and enable positive student mental health.


Working with university students offers a unique and rewarding experience. Our client group is diverse, with individuals at a pivotal stage of transition and growth. You’ll have the chance to make a real impact by providing support, enabling positive change, and helping students thrive during their academic journey.


This post is available working 22.2 hours per week for a 3 days a week. We need you to work a Wednesday as it’s our whole team meeting day and Friday. We can be flexible with the other day but would like this to be a Monday for the following hours:


Monday - 8:30 to 5pm

Wednesday - 8:30 to 5pm

Friday - 8:30 to 4pm
