We are now seeking an experienced Residential Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our buildings remain safe, functional, and well-presented at all times.
The Role
As the Residential Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations across our residential estate. You will supervise a small maintenance team, manage contractor performance, and ensure all preventative and reactive maintenance tasks are completed to the highest standards.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering great service in a residential environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across the property.
- Supervise a team of maintenance operatives, providing leadership, support, and task allocation.
- Ensure all building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, HVAC) operate effectively and are compliant with statutory regulations.
- Conduct regular property inspections, identifying risks, defects, and improvement opportunities.
- Manage contractors and suppliers, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safe practices, and adherence to SLAs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and compliance documentation.
- Respond promptly to resident requests, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
- Support refurbishment, upgrade, and project works as required.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and outstanding resident experience.
About You
- Previous experience in a maintenance supervisor or senior maintenance technician role, ideally within residential, hospitality, or commercial buildings.
- Strong technical knowledge across building services (electrical, plumbing, heating, general repairs).
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident in leading a team and managing contractors.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work proactively, think ahead, and remain calm under pressure.
- Relevant trade qualification (electrical, plumbing, HVAC or similar) – desirable.
