We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded accountant to join us as a Business Services Adviser, supporting the delivery of high-quality compliance, advisory, and performance-enhancing services for a diverse portfolio of clients across Leicestershire.

About Business Services Adviser Role in Leicestershire

You will play a key role in preparing client accounts while delivering proactive commercial advice aimed at maximising clients' performance, profitability, and operational efficiency. You will be trusted to handle high-level work with confidence, operating efficiently, within budget, and with minimal supervision.

Your insight will help clients make informed decisions, improve financial visibility, and unlock opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Commercial Impact

  • Provide tailored advisory support to help clients enhance performance, strengthen financial resilience, and achieve strategic goals.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing clear recommendations that add measurable value.
  • Develop strong working relationships, becoming a trusted adviser who supports clients across all aspects of their business.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to introduce clients to additional services that could support their commercial objectives.

Accounting & Compliance

  • Prepare year-end accounts, management information, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of compliance work, maintaining exceptional technical and professional standards.
  • Use accounting software effectively to streamline processes and improve client outcomes.

Team Collaboration & Development

  • Work closely with colleagues, supporting their technical development through regular review, coaching, and constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture focused on continuous learning and high-quality service delivery.

Skills & Experience

  • ACA or ACCA qualification, or a minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to interpret financial information and present practical, performance-driven recommendations
  • Familiarity with accounting software and modern digital workflows
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous professional development
