Utilities Coordinator - House Builder - North West
Macdonald & Company is looking for an Utilities Coordinator - House Builder - North West in Manchester Area
Job description
This is an office-based role with regular visits to site and attendance at external meetings when required. Ideally, you will have experience working for a housebuilder, coordinating multi-utility (MU) contracts across several developments, or within a specialist utilities provider.
Experience within the housebuilding sector should include applying for utility service records and highway searches through local authorities, securing points of connection for new developments, arranging service disconnections, and obtaining quotations for MU services. The role also involves you contributing to land feasibility work, carrying out tender analysis, appointing MU contractors, liaising closely with site teams, and visiting sites to monitor the progress of mains installation and service connections.
You will also need to estimate costs for MU infrastructure and have a basic understanding of the NAVs approach. You will handle pre-contract queries relating to quotations, and will be expected to provide accurate, detailed reports while maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritise tasks effectively, and adapt to new work with a motivated and flexible attitude. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. AutoCAD experience is desirable, though not essential.
