Wellbeing Adviser

University of Portsmouth is looking for an Wellbeing Adviser in Portsmouth

Job description

To provide proactive and responsive specialist wellbeing support to students, promoting their mental health, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.


The role involves conducting holistic assessments of need, delivering short-term positive interventions, and collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure effective student support.


To contribute to innovative wellbeing initiatives, including group work, psychoeducational programmes and student engagement events and awareness campaigns, to enhance student experience, promote belonging and success.


An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this post.


The working pattern for this post is working 22.2 hours per week:

Tuesday – 08:30 – 17:00

Wednesday – 08:30 – 17:00

Thursday – 08:30 – 17:00


This position is working on-site only, so we are unable to support hybrid working for this appointment. Occasional work from home will be supported. Occasional out of hours will also be required for Open Days and events – Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) would be offered for these hours worked.
