This new full-time post is available from February 2026 on a permanent basis.


Summary of the role

Are you passionate about driving health, safety across a varied and dynamic University estate? Join us, and you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a safe and sustainable environment for our thriving community - shaping campuses that support our vision for 2030 and beyond.


As a Construction Health & Safety Advisor, you will provide expert oversight and guidance across our maintenance, engineering, and capital development functions.


You’ll ensure construction projects are delivered safely and in accordance with legislation, including CDM Regulations 2015 and both University safety and environmental standards.

Working closely with the University’s central Health & Safety team, you’ll develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures, champion best practice, and foster a strong safety culture.

You’ll be part of a dedicated estates health and safety team, providing competent advice and training, and collaborate with key stakeholders across the University to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.
