We’re supporting a national organisation in the not-for-profit sector who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their growing Finance Team.

This is a key role overseeing monthly management accounts, supporting project reporting, ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, pace and building strong internal relationships.

In this role, you will:

• Oversee the full monthly management accounts process
• Produce accurate management accounts for complex projects & partnerships
• Prepare cashflow reports, funder reports and monthly income/expenditure packs
• Hold monthly review meetings with budget holders to discuss financial performance
• Review accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, reconciliations and allocations
• Lead preparation of the annual budget alongside Services
• Prepare monthly cashflow forecasts
• Provide financial insight and support to non-finance colleagues
• Assist with year-end audit preparation
• Provide accurate data for statutory submissions
• Support with ongoing system implementation and process improvement

What we’re looking for:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / CCAB) or finalist (Desirable)
• Strong experience in producing monthly management accounts
• Experience in project or charity financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modelling)
• Confident communicator able to support non-finance colleagues
• Strong business partnering experience
• Experience supervising or line managing staff
• Able to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines
• Understanding of charity SORP
