Search are supporting the recruitment of an Accountant to join our client’s team in Edinburgh on a part-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the CEO, this is a hands-on role providing management accounting, bookkeeping and operational finance support to the business.

Within the role, you’ll take ownership of all internal accounting processes, working alongside external accountants for annual accounts and tax filings. You’ll also play a key part in supporting growth plans through delivery of investor-ready monthly reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain financial processes and workflows
• Produce monthly management accounts and board-level reporting
• Prepare cashflow forecasts
• Manage invoicing and billing
• Oversee debt management
• Oversee monthly payroll
• Complete quarterly VAT returns
• Liaise with external accountants when required

Skills and experience you’ll ideally have:

• Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant
• Demonstrable experience in accounting/bookkeeping
• IT proficient with experience using accounting software
• Organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Communication skills with ability to engage internal & external stakeholders
