Title: Banksman Slinger

Start Date: Immediate Start

Location: Sullom Voe


We are seeking a Banksman Slinger to join operations at Sullom Voe, with an immediate start available. The schedule includes nightshift duties.


The assignment will run on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation until the end of February. Site travel is only available on Tuesdays.


Position Details & Site Arrangements

  • Accommodation provided in a private cabin with its own toilet
  • Meals supplied throughout the stay in Shetland
  • 12-hour shifts worked as part of a 2/2 rotation
  • A mobilisation allowance is offered based on home location to cover travel to Aberdeen; transport from Aberdeen to Shetland is organised by the client
  • Pay: £31.50/hour (days) and £33.71/hour (nights)
  • Holiday uplift of £75/day applies from 24 December to 2 January
  • Engagement: Ltd Company contract


Required Background

  • Prior experience in a comparable role on large, secure onshore facilities.


Essential Documentation & Qualifications

  • CV
  • CPCS A40 Slinger/Signaller or NPORS N402
  • OPITO Banksman/Rigger – minimum Stage 3
  • NVQ Level 2 (covered if the applicant has a CPCS Blue Card)
  • Passport
  • Valid medical
  • Work at Height Unit 2 (if held)


Additional Useful Certification

  • B2 Counterbalance Forklift is considered advantageous.


A DBS check is mandatory for this role; costs can be reclaimed once the candidate is confirmed and has commenced work.
